Now you can celebrate March Madness all year long on your cuff! The man who invented basketball in 1891, James Naismith, was still alive when these charms were made. Basketballs and footballs of this sort were common high school and youth league momentos in the Thirties and Forties. They could have been worn in charm bracelets, given to players' sweethearts or used to ornament letter sweaters. This particular pair, which is in excellent condition and appears to be gold-filled, shows “Dewitt ’33” and “CYC ’34.” We have mounted the basketballs in complementary shiny brass half-domes soldered to brass T-posts.
