Here are two venerable American beverage brands in the form of 1950s-era miniatures. On the left is Maxwell House, which originated in Nashville and was first served at a hotel of the same name visisted by President Teddy Roosevelt in 1907. (There is no evdience, however, that he said "Good to the last drop" after he finished his coffee.) On the right we have "the beer that made Milwaukee famous." It was founded before the turn of the century and passed Pabst to become the top-seller in 1902. It was a leading brand until 1976 and was sold to Stroh in 1982. Schlitz was re-launched in 2008. Both pieces are set in sterling silver.
